<p>The regatta is held annually in July with organisers doing their best to ensure an even overlap with each state&#8217;s school holidays</p>
<p>Competitors race on the beautiful waters of Waterloo Bay on the bayside suburb of Manly in Brisbane, Queensland</p>
<p>In 2011 a massive 238 boats with 271 sailors entered the regatta creating an impressive sight on the racing waters and on the grounds at RQYS.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Once again Yachting NSW will be providing the Winter Training Program providing ongoing sailing development opportunities over winter predominately for the following groups of sailors:</p>
<ul>
<li>Sailors who are new to a class</li>
<li>Middle/back of the class fleet sailors looking to progress their skills</li>
</ul>
<p>Training is conducted by YNSW trainee coaches who are supervised by NSWIS mentor coaches.</p>
<p>In the three years the program has been run, the program has grown substantially and now covers Upper Sydney Harbour, Northern Sydney Harbour, Southern Sydney and Lake Macquarie</p>
<p>This winter the program will be hosted by:</p>
<ul>
<li>St George Sailing Club</li>
<li>Toronto Amateur Sailing Club</li>
<li>Hunters Hill Sailing Club</li>
<li>Middle Harbour 16&#8242; Skiff Club</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At the 2011 Australian National Sabot Council (ANSC), Annual General Meeting the motion was put forward to make Judy and Karl Evans life members of the council.</p>
<p>This motion was passed unanimously by the zones.</p>
<p>Judy and Karl have put a lot of work into Sabots over the years, and this was well deserved recognition by the national council.</p>
<p>When SNSW hosted the Sabot Nationals in 2007, Judy and Karl were the Sabot Week Patrons.</p>
